Please join the City of Bothell in welcoming Jason Greenspan as the City’s new Community Development Director.
Greenspan comes to Bothell with over 25 years of experience in planning and community development at both local and regional levels.
He most recently served as the Manager of Sustainable and Resilient Development for the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), a Los Angeles-based metropolitan planning organization covering a six-county megaregion.
Prior to that, he was the Director of Planning and Community Development for Middletown Township, New Jersey. Jason is well-versed in affordable housing, energy efficiency initiatives, open space preservation, sustainable and equitable growth, and streamlined development.
“I want to create a supportive environment where community stakeholders have real and varied opportunities to participate in the planning process,” Greenspan shared. “Having open and frequent dialogue about our future can help achieve a comprehensive vision for the City that people can really relate to.”
As the Community Development Director, one of Greenspan’s many roles will be guiding city staff and leadership in updating the Imagine Bothell Comprehensive Plan. The Comprehensive Plan is updated every ten years, and helps achieve a shared vision for future growth and development in Bothell.
“On behalf of the Bothell Executive Leadership Team, I am thrilled to have Jason joining our organization. He comes with a wealth of experience and will be a great asset to us as Bothell continues to grow and evolve,” City Manager Kyle Stannert said.
The City of Bothell selected Greenspan following a nationwide recruitment search.
