Move Bothell
Introducing Canyon Park’s New Transportation Options Program
Bothell is experiencing significant housing and job growth, particularly in Canyon Park. The City is committed to supporting this expansion by improving transportation options to meet its transportation, climate, and safety goals.
Why Transportation Options Matter
To support Canyon Park’s expansion, the City is launching Move Canyon Park to improve access to and awareness of transportations options in Canyon Park. Improving access to transit, ridesharing, biking, and micromobility options will ease traffic congestion without expanding our road network.
Move Canyon Park is launching pilot programs in Canyon Park to help your employees get to work:
Canyon Park Businesses
If your company has 5 to 499 employees and doesn’t currently offer a transit benefit, you can receive free ORCA Passes for year one and 50% off in year two. Passes cover all transit in the Puget Sound, including buses, light rail, and Sounder trains, as well as vanpool expenses. They are usable for both work commutes and personal trips.
Reach out today to get your business signed up for free ORCA Passes!
Canyon Park Residents
The City of Bothell is offering free ORCA passes for residents of Canyon Park! The pass includes:
- Unlimited rides for one year on all transit in the Puget Sound (i.e. buses, light rail, and Sounder trains). Your free annual ORCA pass will be activated through June 30, 2026.
- Covers all types of trips, including work commutes and personal trips.
- 100% free vanpool, including free fare, toll lanes, and gas.
Complete a request for each person in your home by filling out a short online form. Passes will be mailed within two weeks and arrive activated and ready to use.
As part of the Move Bothell program to reduce drive-alone commuting, the City is setting up fully subsidized e-bike libraries for your employees. This is a great option for employees who live in Bothell and want to test out an active commute.
We’re partnering with Seattle Electric Bicycles, located just across the street from Bothell City Hall. Through this partnership, your employees will receive:
- High-quality electric bicycles
- All necessary equipment, including helmets and locks
- Clear, easy-to-follow instructions on how to use the ebikes
Your role as a participating company is to market to your employees, and partner with the City and Seattle Electric Bicycles to ensure a seamless experience.
Reach out today to get your business started with an ebike library!
Did you know RideshareOnline helps your employees find shared rides to work? Move Canyon Park is here to help you set up a rideshare program, including offering prizes and incentives for your employees.

Program Overview
As part of Move Bothell, the City of Bothell is launching a pilot program that provides free daily scooter rides to support mobility needs of people in Canyon Park.
Whether you’re taking a scooter to make the last-mile connection from the bus stop to your destination (check out our free ORCA Pass Incentive program!) or trying to get across town faster, our pilot program aims to improve micromobility around Canyon Park.
Program Details:
The City is providing you with credit for Lime bikes and scooters to improve mobility around Canyon Park. Review the program details:
- $5 off per eligible ride, equal to about 10 minutes of riding.
- The credit can be used for up to four eligible rides per day. Unused credit does not accrue.
- Eligible trips start or stay within Canyon Park. See map below for details
- The discount applies automatically when eligibility requirements are met. No promo code required.
- Eligible trips are provided free of charge to riders. Users are responsible for all costs beyond the $5 per eligible ride.
- Preferred parking areas are available to help you know where to park the bike or scooter.
- Users are responsible properly parking their bike and scooter in accordance with posted signage and in-app guidance.
- Use Lime’s “Getting Started” guide for specifics on how to use their devices.
- Questions or concerns with bikes and scooters can be reported directly with Lime on the “Help” tab in the app.
- No liability from riding e-scooters is taken on by the City of Bothell, and the user assumes all liability.
- Program details and funding are subject to change. Program availability is at the discretion of City staff. Abuse of the program may result in loss of access and may incur full non-discounted ride costs.
How to Take a Free Scooter Ride in Canyon Park
- Download the Lime app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and create an account.
- Locate a scooter using the app. If you are in Canyon Park and it is your first through fourth ride of the day, you should see a promo code pop-up that says “City of Bothell Canyon Park Promo - $5 off (up to 4 rides per day).”
- Scan the QR code on the scooter to activate it.
- Enjoy your ride! The discount will automatically apply if your ride is eligible. Your $5 coupon provides you with about 10 minutes of free riding. The rider is responsible for any additional time beyond the $5 promo code. For more guidance on how to ride Lime e-scooters, check out the Lime website.
- Park your scooter in one of the preferred parking areas designated on the map or in the public right-of-way. Your vehicle must be upright with the kickstand down and not blocking pedestrian paths, building entrances, or driveways. Lime will ask you to take a photo of your scooter to ensure it has been parked correctly.
- Note: No e-scooter parking is permitted in the Canyon Park Park-and-Ride.

Report improperly parked devices to Lime via the information printed on the devices, or through the Lime website. Contact Move Bothell at tdmcoordinator@bothellwa.gov for questions about micromobility and parking policy in Canyon Park and Bothell.
The City of Bothell is not promoting Lime products. No liability from riding e-scooters is taken on by the City of Bothell, and the user assumes all liability. All programs are pilots and available pending funding.
Do you have employees who need assistance planning their commute? Move Bothell hosts a monthly commute coaching session to help workers in Canyon Park figure out their options. Drop in to virtual sessions through Microsoft Teams on the first Friday of every month from 9 – 10 am.
