May 2022: First planting

First veggies planted!

May 24, 2022

A tenacious team of three - Beth Wyman (YMCA’s Youth and Family Programs Supervisor), Kari Quaas (Snohomish Conservation District’s Community Engagement Project Manager), and Christi Cox (City of Bothell's Surface Water Program Coordinator) - weeded the empty beds, turned the soil, and filled the planters with veggie starts. Kari brought over 250 plants to put in the soil including tomatoes, tomatillos, eggplant, and cilantro. In the coming weeks, they will also add peppers to the mix. Is anyone else suddenly craving chips and salsa?!!
