Day Reporting

In the Fall of 2021, Bothell Municipal Court began offering Day Reporting as an alternative to jail sanction. Temporarily hosted on virtual platform, sessions last about two hours and are offered on alternating Wednesday mornings.

Our session leaders are Paige Sprague from Bothell Probation Services and our guest speaker, Marshall Byers, who has over 15 years of personal experience with incarceration and recovery. Mr. Byers will share his journey with the group in a discussion-based presentation.

Participants will often be required to write a self-reflection essay or complete more than one session to be fully compliant with the Day Reporting program. Please check with your attorney for specifics regarding your case.

Bothell Day Reporting is open to outside jurisdictions. Please reach out to Ms. Sprague with inquiries.

In his own words...

"I am excited for the opportunity to collaborate with Bothell Probation to share my journey of 15 years of incarceration, recovery, complete overhaul of my thinking, and freedom.

What gives me purpose is restorative justice.

It's my passion to inspire, motivate, and encourage. I hope to plant the seed of change with as many people as I can who are struggling with the same challenges I have overcome and offer support for those who accept it."

Marshall Byers, guest speaker
