We're excited to join our partners at Snohomish Conservation District as we cohost a live online workshop featuring Teri King, the leading Septic Specialist for Washington Sea Grant. Teri offers many years of experience hosting septic workshops throughout the Puget Sound. Her workshops are engaging and informative, and participants leave with knowledge that makes them feel like they have a solid foundation for caring for their septic. Teri will talk about different types of systems and how they function, household products that will lengthen the life of your system, and much more!

Register online to receive an email with the workshop's Zoom link before the event date. Registration is required.

We’ll do an interesting experiment during the workshop, which you can also do at home with these supplies:

  • One square of toilet paper
  • Small jar (about pint-sized) with lid
  • Water
TP Jar Water

Prepare for the workshop

You’ll get the most out of this workshop if you have a copy of your septic as-built report with you during the workshop. Health departments often have septic system as-builts stored in a public database. Check your county's health department to see if yours is available.

This workshop is provided by City of Bothell, Snohomish Conservation District, and Washington Sea Grant.
