What We Do
The Capital Improvement Projects Division provides permanent infrastructure investments to Bothell's transportation and utility facilities. These investments support a vital economy and provide livable neighborhoods. We're also responsible for administering several key projects in support of Bothell's Downtown Revitalization Plan.
State Growth Management Act (GMA)
The State Growth Management Act (GMA) requires communities to plan for capital facilities and transportation elements to ensure we have an adequate level of services and facilities in place to support development. The City’s Imagine Bothell... Comprehensive Plan addresses these elements.
Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)
The transportation element provides the framework for development of a TIP, which focuses on long range transportation planning goals. Learn more about the TIP.
Capital Improvement Program (CIP)
Once a project is listed in the TIP, it becomes eligible for inclusion in the City’s CIP, which is updated every two years with our budget adoption. Only TIP projects that are fully or partially funded are included in the CIP. The CIP manages projects that address the construction, repair, maintenance and acquisition of major capital facilities and equipment.
Capital Facilities Plan (CFP)
The CFP is a seven-year comprehensive financial plan and needs assessment that identifies and prioritizes funding for capital improvements like transportation, utilities, parks, and facilities. Learn more about the CFP.
