Previously known as the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), the City of Bothell's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) is prepared by the City's Finance Department in conformance with the State statute RCW 43.09.230, and with the standards by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the United States and Canada. These standards require statements to present the financial position of the City and the results of financial operations fairly, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Bothell's commitment to outstanding achievement is recognized nationally. The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has awarded its Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the City of Bothell consecutively since 2001.
The PAFR is a summary of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). The PAFR is designed to be readily accessible and easily understandable to the general public and other interested parties.
